Maria Colletti, author of Terrariums: Gardens under Glass and her second book, Living Decor: Botanical-Styling your Indoor Greenery and Houseplants are sold at NYBG Shop in the Garden and local bookstores. Maria spent 13 years at NYBG as the Store Manager of Shop in the Garden, where she perfected her craft! She currently teaches indoor gardening craft classes at NYBG Adult Education. Maria has degrees in Horticulture and Anthropology.

Articles highlighting her terrarium art have appeared in Washington Post, Country Gardens, Bungalows & Cottages magazine, as well as online at HGTV and Architectural Digest websites. The New York Times featured Maria in November 28, 2021 in terrarium column by Margaret Roach .

Maria lectures for garden clubs all over the Metro Area such as, Marblehead, MASS, New Canaan, CT, East Hampton and Sands Point, Long Island, Rye Yacht Club, NY. Maria spent 2 years learning designs with Terrain of Westport, Connecticut, an upscale gardening store of Anthropologie. Past professional positions include Manhattan Midtown Manager for a Plantscaping firm, maintaining large indoor atriums including the Guggenheim Museum and ABC TV studios.
