Eric Kramer is a Partner and Principal of Reed Hilderbrand where he has guided design teams, clients, and communities in the renewal and enrichment of campuses, cities, and places of cultural and ecological significance. Eric joined the practice in 2000, committed to communicating design knowledge with clarity and care, knowledge built from rigorous scientific field research and the engagement of people and communities. His works include the Alamo Plaza Interpretive Master Plan, Longwood Reimagined, a comprehensive plan for the Morton Arboretum, and the expansion of the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He edited Visible|Invisible, the firm's award-winning monograph.
Eric has a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he received the Charles Eliot Fellowship, and graduated from Amherst College, where he was honored as a Thomas J. Watson Fellow. Eric has served as an adjunct professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and the Rhode Island School of Design. He is widely published in academic research journals and the popular press and has spoken in venues across the country. Eric currently serves on the board of The Cultural Landscape Foundation.
