Sarah Yu
 Sarah Yuhas a background in art & design and worked as a designer for many years before she began her botanical art journey. During her visit to the New York Botanical Garden in search of gardening inspiration, she learned about the botanical art program. She began her first drawing class in 2018 and earned her Botanical Art & Illustration certificate with distinction in 2025.

Her botanical art aims to capture the intricacies and beauty of nature. She deeply values the process of observing natural environments and establishing a connection with botanical subjects through detailed illustration and outdoor painting.Her work has been featured in "Embankment on My Mind" exhibition at the New Jersey City University Galleries, NJ in 2022, the New York Mycological Fungus Festival collective flyer and zine, Randall's Island, NY in 2023, "You've Got?Botanical Mail" a TSBA Trading Card Project exhibition at the Field Library Gallery, NY in 2024, "Fungi" art show at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition Gallery, NY in 2025, "Cultivating Artistry" TSBA 10th Anniversary members show at Stonecrop Gardens, NY in 2025, and more recently, at the ASBA 28th Annual International exhibition at Marin Art & Garden Center, CA in 2025.

She was one of the teaching artists for the Plein-Air Drop-in & Paint weekend activity, held from June through October, a program in conjunction with the Van Gogh's 2025 exhibition at the NYBG, where visitors participated, guided by the teaching artist, in painting the natural surroundings of the Garden's inspiring flora collection.

Sarah is an active member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, Tri-State Botanical Artists, and the New York Mycological Society.
