She received a BS in Plant Sciences from SUNY Geneseo and completed her horticulture training at NYBG's School of Professional Horticulture, soon after beginning her professional career at a private estate in Connecticut. In 2008 she became the Rosarian and Cottage Gardener at Old Westbury Gardens, and has since moved on to become Director of Horticulture overseeing the grounds, gardens, and floral design for Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. She started her floral design company, nectar&bloom, in 2017.
