Jennifer Cappello-Ruggiero is a Horticulture Professional for the University of Maine Extension covering York and Oxford Counties. She provides community programming and education in Horticulture, responds to questions from residents regarding their home landscapes and works closely with Master Gardener Volunteers. Prior to moving to Maine, Jennifer was the Education Director at Clark Botanic Garden, a twelve-acre living museum and educational facility in Albertson, New York. She conducted lectures and educational programming for community members and members of the Fanny Dwight Clark Memorial Garden Inc., a non-profit organization which supports the gardens. Additionally, Jennifer previously worked as the Program Leader at East Meadow Farm; an educational and outreach facility of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County, NY. Her work there included coordinating and training Master Gardener Volunteers while providing oversight for the implementation and maintenance of the public demonstration and community gardens. |
