Wilton Rao
Wilton Rao is an engineer and a walk leader at the New York Mycological Society. A citizen scientist and amateur naturalist, he specializes in the funga, flora, and lichen diversity of NYC. He has led mushroom walks at the New York Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Pioneer Works, and Museum of the Moving Image. He spends his time reading, foraging wild foods, gardening, and documenting the wildlife of Queens. His other interests include paleobiology, urban geography, cultural studies, and economic history.
