Laura Vogel, who has taught at NYBG for 18 years, and worked as afreelance botanical illustrator for Dr. Noel Holmgren, illustrating over 1300 new drawings for The Illustrated Companion to Gleason & Cronquist's Vascular Plants of the Northeastern United States and Adjacent Canada. Laura also taught field biology at William Paterson University and contributed illustrations to 3 volumes of Intermountain Flora. She was also asked to design several textile projects by Spring Textile Company.
