Instructor: Corrina Wainwright

Corrina Wainwright
Corrina Wainwright, MPH, a public health practitioner and community herbalist, comes to this work through her Southern, Caribbean, and Gullah Geechee heritage. Trained in Green Medicine and Ecological Herbalism by Peeka Trenkle, she is also a graduate of the Art and Practice of Spiritual Herbalism apprenticeship with Karen M. Rose. Corrina's herbalism practice creates a space for the process and pace of growing and healing with plants.

Through her business, Harlem Roots, she centers her family's ancestral practices of fostering community care and joy with accessible plant medicine. When not facilitating or writing, Corrina can be found vending at the Good Food farmer's market in Harlem, immersed in plant studies, or enjoying YA Afrofuturism in her home in Connecticut.
