Ginny Yount is a Botanical Artist living and teaching in Westchester, New York. After fifty years in Contract and Home Design, Ginny earned her Certificate of Botanical Art and Illustration from The New York Botanical Garden in June of 2022. Taking classes throughout the pandemic, she walked twenty eight preserves, parks, and ponds in New York and Connecticut, each visit memorialized in her signature horizontal blue journals. Ginny attended college in Los Angeles receiving a Bachelors in Science of Professional Arts degree which lead to her to a fifty year career in Design. Ginny has been published in the "Journal of the American Society of Botanical Artists". Her article entitled, "Pulling Up Roots" highlighted the infl uence that place and environment have on an artist and their work. She is a member of ASBA and Tri-State Botanical Artists. Ginny has exhibited her work in New York at Innisfree Garden and Washington State at "Art Walk Edmonds" . Ginny's work continues to be commissioned by Patrons from coast to coast.
