Event Planning for the Floral Designer

In addition to exquisite design, a successful event requires a well-conceived plan. Learn how to write a sales proposal based on cost analysis, finalize the terms of the design contract, and order and organize materials, personnel, and deliveries, all within a specified budget and timeline. Learn how to stage decor for large-scale event arrangements, design cocktail receptions, and develop formal and informal tablescapes. $195 materials fee. Prerequisite: Wedding Design I

Materials Information:
Price includes a $195 materials fee for plant materials and hard goods. Please bring: a florist knife, wire cutter, scissors, pruners, a camera, and a box or bag to carry home your work. Alternatively, a Floral Tool Kit is available for purchase through the Registration Office. Please email ContinuingEd@nybg.org to inquire.

He has created lush, large-scale projects for royalty, political figures, and society clients in France, Monte Carlo, Saudi Arabia, the U.K., and the U.S.; and for the past ten years, he has been an inspirational instructor here at NYBG.
