Guided by floral artist Joshua Werber, use specimens from this year's Orchid Show to compose stunning floral arrangements. These special workshops will allow you to expand your design palette and aesthetic—take one or sign up for both!



THE MYSTIQUE OF ORCHIDS

The intricate structure of orchids has beguiled cultures across the globe for centuries. Learn how best to showcase their sensual beauty as you design an arrangement using a variety of unusual specimens straight from The Orchid Show. You'll have a variety of plant material to choose from as you create, all while drawing inspiration from Joshua's lush aesthetic and sculptural approach to flowers. This class will feature foam-free mechanics. $75 materials fee.


SCULPTURAL HEADPIECES
2-4 pm | 234FDN316

Joshua Werber's playful headpieces are certain to delight, as his many followers on Instagram readily attest. In this special workshop, Joshua will discuss how to use botanical materials from The Orchid Show to design headpieces that showcase these special blooms. Learn the basic mechanics needed to create unique forms, while experimenting with making a bold statement of your own. $75 materials fee.

Please bring:
Florist knife, wire cutter, scissors, pruners, a camera, and a box or bag to carry your work home. A floral tool kit is available for purchase through the Registration Office. Please call 718.817.8720.

Instructor:	Joshua Werber Joshua Werber Joshua Werber Drawing from the natural world, Joshua Werber's work is an exploration of emotion through the act of creation. Josh's lush aesthetic and sculptural approach to flowers playfully ornament and engage with the interior orexterior landscape. Designing provides him with the opportunity to intuitively trust, feel, and to allow the material to guide its own creation. His work is driven by a desire to create unique environments through whichthe participant can experience transformation. He currently lives in Brooklyn with his rescue puppy Delilah. Learn more.
