Patricia Butter
Patricia Butter is a Botanist and Garden Manager/Educator at The Native Plant Center at Westchester Community College.

Patty leads two funded multi-year Flora studies in Westchester County at The Rockefeller State Park Preserve and Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. These studies record and identify spontaneous plant populations in over 6,000 acres of parkland. To date, over 1,000 pressed herbarium specimens have been collected and will be preserved in the parks' own herbaria and at the Steere Herbarium at the New York Botanical Garden. Patty has created over 5,000 iNaturalist observations, and reviewed and identified over 4,000 observations contributed by over 300 park visitors, and leads Wildflower Walks and Workshops to educate the public about plant conservation, identification and documentation.

She holds certificates in Botany from the New York Botanical Garden, and Sustainable Gardening with Native Plants from Go Native U at WCC, as well as a BFA from Pratt Institute.
