Paleobotany, the study of plant evolution through fossil evidence, gives us insights into Earth's flora, past and present. In this class, you'll learn about the evolution of plants—from when life first emerged from the ocean to modern day trees and flowering plants. Gain a historical perspective on global diversity, climate change, and cover all major groups of land plants including non-vascular plants, early vascular plants such as ferns and fern-allies, gymnosperms, and angiosperms—and their unique adaptations throughout time.
