Instructor:	Liz Johnson Liz Johnson Liz Johnson An ecologist and educator by training, Liz worked for the American Museum of Natural History for over 15 years as Manager of the Center for Biodiversity and Conservation's Metropolitan Biodiversity Program. Prior to that she was Director of Science and Stewardship for The Nature Conservancy in New Jersey. She is particularly interested in raising awareness about biodiversity in urban and suburban areas and co-edited the Biodiversity Assessment Handbook for New York City with Erik Kiviat. She has worked extensively surveying for mole salamanders and vernal ponds. Her Master's research focused on studying the effects of spring peeper and wood frog tadpole grazing on periphyton community composition.
