Biography: Courtney Riding is primarily a mom, but the nurturing extends beyond her own five children (and one granddaughter). She completed her BS in Marriage, Family, and Human Development at BYU in 2004 and has also worked for High Desert ESD off and on since graduating from Redmond High School in 1999. She is passionate about education and gears all activities towards real-life learning. She just celebrated 24 years of marriage with her college sweetheart and together with their kids runs a small farm raising goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, and two goofy dogs. They are heavily involved in the 4H Program and love its opportunities for community involvement. |

Redmond: Safe SitterŪ for Grandparents and Adult Caregivers: Caring for Babies and Children
The Safe SitterŪ for Grandparents program prepares grandparents and any adult babysitter to be safe when they are watching younger children. Taught by Safe SitterŪ certified instructors, students will learn the new recommendations for care based on research from doctors and scientists studying the physical and emotional development of infants and children. The course includes first aid practices, choking infant/child rescue and infant/child CPR. All supplies provided. The course teaches CPR but does not certify students in CPR.
