Justin LeBart
Biography: Justin LeBart is the Chief Clay Officer and Soul Proprietor of Journeyman Ceramics. Life's journey has led him from Massachusetts, where he grew up and received his degree in Fine Arts Sculpture, through Arizona and Belgium, where he apprenticed in clay and received his Masters of Education from NAU, to his current home of the last 17 years, beautiful Bend, Oregon. Justin believes through meaningful interactions with clay we can learn about ourselves, our community, and the world at large. For over 10,000 years our ancestors have used clay for both utilitarian and expressive needs, and we are all part of this human tradition. Let's tune into the ancestors and create incredible and unique objects.

Classes by this instructor

Students will learn various techniques of working with clay through demonstrations and specific projects. Those with prior clay experience will review techniques and expand their skill level in both wheel throwing and hand building. Because there is a wide range of skill level and technique focus among students, emphasis will be placed on individual development and one-on-one attention, particularly for beginners. Materials are required for this course.
