Tim Fissori
Biography: Tim Fissori was a general building contractor for over 25 years. His expertise is in both new and extensive residential re-model work. At the age of 50 (using a teaching credential acquired years before) he began a teaching career that lasted 17 years. Drawing on his construction background, Tim taught high school students and later young adults, through a project-based "learn by doing" model. Now officially "retired" he still finds time for horses and grandchildren, and a lot of softball. As a 23 years resident of Bend, he enjoys all the things that make living here so wonderful.

Using a mixture of lecture and hands-on application, your expert instructor will guide you through the importance of using scale and design before building, foundation basics, the components of a typical wall framing system, framing and truss layout, and roof system basics. You'll learn how to safely use construction tools and tricks of the trade for basic construction for homeowners. Great for students who want to learn about home/project-based construction. Tools provided. Students will need to provide their own construction-appropriate gloves.
