Biography: I have been working in the aerospace industry for over 16 years, primarily in the development of aftermarket modifications (STCs). I started my career through engineering co-op programs working on the CP140 Avionics Modernization program and the CH148 mission system development program. Upon graduating I continued to work on modifications for the Canadian CP-140 Aurora and Norwegian P3 Orion aircraft.After moving into the world of civilian aviation I worked on modification programs for a diverse range of fixed wing aircraft; including but not limited to CV580/CV5800, B727, B767, C-212, DHC-6, DHC-5, A-4N, all variants of the B737 and many others. On the rotary wing side I have worked on modifications for the 212, 214, AW139, H135, and H225.I have been involved in all aspects of aircraft modification including developing system architectures, detailed integration and installation designs, developing certification plans, certification documentation (ELA, SSA, Test Procedures, etc.) and coordinated/witnessing aircraft functional, EMC & flight test programs. I have worked directly with the three big regulators (Transport Canada, FAA and EASA) as well as some of the smaller regulators (JCAB, ANAC, FATA, CAAM etc.) for the approval of Avionics and Electrical modifications. I have lead or been the avionics/electrical SME on over 55 STC projects.
