Correctional Officer William "Billy" Edrozo began his career with the California Department of Corrections in 2000 and has over 26 years of law enforcement experience. While assigned to Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, he specialized in prison gangs, particularly the Mexican Mafia (La EME) and Southern Hispanic street gangs. He has extensive knowledge of gang operations, including structure, criminal activity, symbols, and affiliations. He has played a key role in identifying and documenting Security Threat Group activity, contributing to hundreds of inmate validations. Officer Edrozo has conducted over 1,000 interviews with gang members and associates in both prisons and the community. Recognized as an expert on the Mexican Mafia, he has testified in state court, received advanced training in gang intelligence, and serves as a trusted resource for law enforcement at the local, state, and national levels. He has also provided instruction on prison gangs at various agencies and conferences.
