Instructor: Derrick Wilczek

No image available Biography: Detective Derrick Wilczek, a 16-year veteran of the Overland Park Police Department, is currently assigned to the Vice Unit. Derrick has served as a Task Force Officer with the FBI's Greater Kansas City Human Trafficking Task Force for the past nine years and has extensive experience investigating cases of human trafficking, commercial sex, and massage industry violations. Derrick and his partners in the Kansas City metropolitan area strive to create an untenable environment for commercial sex through concerted efforts to share intelligence information, impact demand through enforcement, and educate community stakeholders about the scourge of trafficking.

Response to Human Trafficking for Law Enforcement
The Response to Human Trafficking for Law Enforcement class is a practitioner-led interactive training for all Kansas certified law enforcement officers and non-commissioned analysts and is designed to increase recognition and investigative skills in combatting human sex trafficking.
