No image available Biography: Sabrina Potts has been in crime analysis since 2009. She started as a volunteer at Shawnee, Kansas Police Department before moving to a full-time crime analyst with Olathe, KS PD. She returned to Shawnee, KS PD as their only crime analyst in 2017. She studied at Missouri State University and obtained her Bachelor's in Criminology and Masters in Administrative Studies with an emphasis on Criminal Justice. She obtained her IACA Certification in August of 2019 with her first recertification in 2024. Sabrina served as the IACA Webinar Coordinator for over a decade and currently serves on the IACA Executive Board as the Secretary. She has served as the Mid-America Regional Crime Analysis Network (MARCAN) VP of Membership, VP of Administration, and President. Sabrina is on the Kansas City Metro Squad as well as the Johnson County Officer Involved Critical Incident Investigation Team.

Foundations of Crime Analysis
Foundations of Crime Analysis introduces law enforcement professionals to the essential tools and techniques used to analyze crime data and support informed decision-making. Participants will gain hands-on experience with basic Excel functions, crime pattern identification, introductory mapping concepts, and crime bulletin development. This course highlights how crime analysis enhances investigations, patrol operations, and officer safety through clear, actionable analytical products.
