Wood is a contract attorney cross-designated as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, District of Kansas, assigned to the criminal division's asset forfeiture unit in Wichita. He is a retired KBI Senior Special Agent, maintains a part-time private practice assisting local law enforcement agencies in state court asset forfeiture cases, and he writes and teaches on legal topics for the Kansas street officer. Colin holds a degree from Wichita State University and Washburn School of Law.

This course provides law enforcement professionals with a practical overview of asset seizure and forfeiture under state and federal law. Participants will learn how forfeiture is applied in criminal investigations, how it differs from the Kansas Drug Tax Act, and how seized assets and funds must be lawfully managed.
