Instructor: Miles Wilhelm

Biography: Miles starting working in the digital media field while in college at California State University, Fresno. He founded Spline Motion Studios, an animation and media company before graduating with a special major combining Computer Engineering, Industrial Technology, and 3D Computer Graphics. While leading Spline Motion, Miles and his team worked with companies and organizations such as Chrysler Motor Co., Sempra Energy, Hewlett Packard, the U.S. Department of the Navy, and the City of Santa Ana.

Miles moved to Central Oregon in 2011. He began working with the Redmond School District on after-school programs, serving on the High Desert Maker Mill board of advisers, partnering with Original Gravity Events on Central Oregon Beer Week and Best of Craft Beer Awards and started a craft beer hop farm in Terrebonne. He also assisted COCC in the development of SketchUp and CompTIA courses and certification programs.

Miles has been teaching SketchUp in Central Oregon for the past four years and modeling in 3D for the past 15 years. Through his SketchUp work, he recently had the opportunity to collaborate with The Walt Disney Co. at their Disneyland Park in California.
