Flower Arranging with Store-Bought Bouquets

Note the "Location" below which indicates if a particular class meets online or in person. Price differences may apply. Confirmation emails will contain specific logistics.
Create your own professional-looking arrangements with economical, store-bought bouquets. Using simple design principles and fresh flowers from your local grocery store or farmers market, learn how to design and create your own elegant arrangements.

Materials Information:
Price includes a $50 materials fee for plant materials and hard goods. Please bring pruners and a box or bag to carry your work home. Alternatively, a Floral Tool Kit is available for purchase through the Registration Office. Please email ContinuingEd@nybg.org to inquire.

Takako Matsui Takako Matsui

Takako Matsui

Takako Matsui is a 2020 graduate of NYBG's Floral Design Certificate Program. As a nature lover, Takako is certified by the Japan Gardening Society as a garden coordinator, offering collaborative styles between retail fresh-cut flowers and garden flowers or wildflowers.

She leads a flower project at her local public library to brighten up the community, teaches seasonal floral design classes, and takes part in lectures about edible flowers.

Takako has won awards for her dried and pressed floral artworks. She is also a graduate from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Pharmacy.
