Learn how to dye fibers naturally using food waste. Explore techniques on how to repurpose your food scraps to create a brilliant color palette-from yellow and red onions that create copper tones and deep mustards to avocado skin, pits, and foraged plants for pops of green, yellow, pink, and more. You'll walk away with a variety of naturally dyed fibers for everyday use. All materials included.

Instructor:	Georgeta Poliana Danila Georgeta Poliana Danila Georgeta Poliana Danila Poliana Danila is a landscape designer turned fiber artist and broom maker. She loves working with whatever the plants give/gift us. Originally from Romania, Poliana watched her parents and grandparents working in the gardens, teaching in school and weaving with the wool from their sheep. She has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Landscape Design and Horticulture from Romania, Holland, and the New York Botanical Garden. She has had the privilege to take weaving, knotting, plant dyeing classes with different well-known artists at fiber studios: Textile Art Center in Brooklyn/ Manhattan and Fiber Craft Studio in Spring Valley.
