Delia Owens
Delia Owens enjoyed an adventurous childhood, then spent twenty-three years as a wildlife scientist living in remote African locales. Based on her work, she co-authored three non-fiction bestsellers, including Cry of the Kalahari and Secrets of the Savanna. Owens holds a B.S. in zoology from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from the University of California in Davis. She has won the John Burroughs Award for Nature Writing and been published in Nature and many others.
