Portrait-Style Floral Photography Workshop: Van Gogh Edition
Unleash your inner artist as you spend the day styling and photographing floral arrangements. Using select flowers and color palettes inspired by NYBG's latest exhibition, Van Gogh's Flowers, you'll create a stunning floral arrangement under the guidance of designer & instructor Barbara Mele. You'll explore how the flowers evoke themes of the exhibition through different techniques.
Then, photographer and educator Jamie Jamison will show you how to compose a still-life vignette, using your floral design and a variety of props, and photograph it to best effect! Learn helpful tips and tricks to creating successful social content to promote your floral talents.
This one-day workshop is geared toward hobbyists and is not considered an elective in NYBG's Floral Design Certificate program.
Materials Information:
Price includes plant materials and hard goods. Please bring pruners and a box or bag to carry your work home. Alternatively, a Floral Tool Kit is available for purchase through the Registration Office. Please email ContinuingEd@nybg.org to inquire.
