Sketching Birds and Their Habitats


Explore the fascinating lives of birds of the Northeast as you learn to document their nesting, breeding, and migrating habits via a sketchbook journal. Taught by two experts-Jim Sirch, a trained naturalist and president of the Connecticut Horticultural Society and Dorie Petrochko, botanical and wildlife artist and founder of the natural science illustration program at the Yale Peabody Museum-this class will guide you through recording and drawing your observations of various species and their interrelationships with plants. Prerequisite: Botanical Watercolor I
