Color Rendering for Landscape Designers

Bring your landscape designs to life through the power of color. In this hands-on class, you'll explore the art of color rendering as a tool for visual storytelling in landscape architecture and design. Whether you're developing concept sketches or final presentations, you'll learn how to confidently use color to communicate mood, materiality, seasonality, and spatial relationships as you illustrate vibrant, compelling landscapes.

Through guided exercises, professional examples, and individual feedback, you'll become familiar with essential techniques using alcohol markers, colored pencils, and pastels—as you build your skills in foundational color theory and rendering strategies tailored to natural and built environments.
