The notion of "seasons" is rooted in human experience and particularly relevant in the practice of therapeutic horticulture. Through hands-on techniques, you'll discover how a particular plant can yield a multitude of activities for creative therapeutic intervention throughout the calendar year. In this class, dahlias will be used as a vehicle to explore these concepts of seasonality, transformation, and caregiving. Prerequisite: Introduction to Therapeutic Horticulture

She received her Horticultural Therapy Certificate from NYBG after completing her masters in Social Work at Hunter College. She believes that gardening is truly an emancipatory practice, and is invested in supporting others as they seek to unlock the physical, psychological, and spiritual benefits of gardening.
