A Study of Tree Growth

No single view of a tree tells the complete story. Through classroom presentation, hands-on activity, and outdoor exploration, you'll examine how trees grow, reproduce, and interact with their environment over time and across varying spatial scales. Delve into the collaborative roles that trees play within ecosystems and learn how to identify species by specific traits such as peeling bark, lobed leaves, overwintering buds, and seeds. You'll come away with a broader perspective on tree observation and be able to link the characteristics of each tree species with their physiology and ecology.
