Fruit Textures in Colored Pencil

Learn how to render the diverse surface textures of fruits, from the smooth, matte, and speckled skins of apples to the waxy, silvery bloom of grapes and plums, to the thick, dimpled rind of oranges and limes.

Each session of this class will focus on a different fruit as you practice essential colored pencil techniques like color layering and specialized pencil strokes. Through thorough instruction and step-by-step demonstrations, you'll observe the subtle color shifts and learn how to effectively use embossing tools, craft knives, graphite pencils, erasers, and watercolor brushes. Build confidence, master color, and bring lifelike dimension to your botanical drawings. Prerequisite: Colored Pencil
