Winter Berries in Colored Pencil

The bright berries of holly, hawthorn, mountain ash, and cotoneaster are among nature's holiday ornaments, bringing color and vitality to the winter landscape. Their glowing reds, oranges, and deep greens offer beautiful inspiration for botanical artists during the darker months of the year.

Through demonstrations and individualized instruction, you'll practice techniques such as layering and blending color, burnishing, and rendering the smooth, glossy surfaces to capture the luminous colors and delicate beauty of winter berries using colored pencil. Develop your skills in observing and matching color while rendering berries, foliage, and stems with greater accuracy and depth. Prerequisite: Colored Pencil
