Ethan Dropkin is a horticulturist, professional speaker, and native landscape designer. He currently works at Larry Weaner Landscape Associates (LWLA), a design firm that works exclusively with native plants and specializes in meadow creation in the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions. He received a BA in Secondary Education from the University of Vermont in 2006. In 2013, he was awarded a Masters in Landscape Architecture followed by a Masters of Professional Studies in Horticulture in 2014 from Cornell University. Prior to joining LWLA, Ethan worked as a designer at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, as a horticultural designer and technician for Cornell University, and as a horticulturist for the New York City Parks Department. His work as a designer is inspired by native plant communities and the lessons learned from the ebb and flow of species balance across time in the landscape.
