Ariel Fleming is an artist with a passion for visual storytelling and science communication.

Ariel has a diverse background that informs her work. She has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, has worked at the American Museum of Natural History as Scientific Assistant in the Department of Mammalogy, and has bachelor's degrees in Biology and in Anthropology from Stanford University.

Ariel teaches classes in drawing, digital techniques, and research methods for natural history illustration. She has taught at the New York Botanical Garden, and American Museum of Natural History.
