Spring is one of the most abundant times to harvest common edible weeds. This class will introduce you to a variety of local and invasive species that herbalists use for both medicine and food. Get the most out of the season's foraged fare as you are introduced to nature's best medicines while learning how to create two different remedies to bring home. This class will incorporate a walk through NYBG's Native Plant Garden for inspiration.

Instructor:	Dawn Petter Dawn Petter Dawn Petter Dawn Petter is a clinical herbalist and flower essence practitioner based in NYC. She is a graduate of Arbor Vitae School of Traditional Herbalism's 3 year program and is trained as a flower essence practitioner with Delta Gardens and Findhorn Essences. Dawn works with clients by appointment, and regularly teaches classes and leads herb walks aroundthe City. She is also the owner of Petalune Herbals which specializes in herbal skincare. Her classes are imaginative and accessible and are taught to encourage students to use herbal medicine in their daily lives
