Introduction to Neonicotinoid Insecticides

Register for the NYSDEC-Approved Title 13 Course: Introduction to Neonicotinoid Insecticides (Course ID: NY-25-435354) hosted at NYBG. This 1-hour course is required annually for applicators using clothianidin or dinotefuran under the Birds and Bees Protection Act for treating invasive species on woody plants or during environmental emergencies. Topics covered include neonicotinoid benefits, understanding non-target risks and safe alternatives.

We offer recertification credits for NYSDEC and ISA after the successful completion of this course.

FYI: Beginning December 31, 2026, this requirement will also apply to imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, and acetamiprid.
