Botanical Flatlay Workshop with Dog Walk Diary

Join Margot Guralnick of Dog Walk Diary to learn how to make flatlay designs from nature's castoffs. Margot considers herself an accidental artist who, 10+ years ago, began gathering finds on dog walks and arranging them daily on found surfaces-- from manhole covers to her kitchen counter. Her work is ephemeral: she captures it in photographs before tossing the pieces to the wind or adding to the compost heap.
In this workshop, Margot will share her explorative process and show examples of her creations. You'll then head out onto the Garden grounds to collect materials. Back in the classroom, you'll use your found pieces of nature to create unique leaf art. No experience necessary, just bring your eagerness to look closely, collaborate with leaves, and take photos of results (any camera will do-Margot typically uses her iPhone).
