Therapeutic Horticulture Summer Intensive


In just three weeks, complete more than 30% of the coursework required for the Certificate and gain a solid understanding of how to utilize plants, gardening, and nature to empower specific individuals and groups. All courses are offered in a condensed format, making it easier than ever to start the Certificate this season!
Please note: You have the option to register for the entire Summer Intensive program or sign up for the classes individually, allowing you to continue your Certificate at your own pace. To register for individual class sessions, please click on each of the classes linked below.

CLASSES
- Introduction to Therapeutic Horticulture (Location: Blended; some sessions will meet online & some at NYBG)
- Therapeutic Horticulture for Youth with Disabilities (Location: Blended; some sessions will meet online & some at NYBG)
- Outdoor Plants for Therapeutic Programs (Location: NYBG)
- Therapeutic Horticulture for Mental Health (Location: Blended; some sessions will meet online & some at NYBG)
- Accessibility in Therapeutic Horticulture Programming (Location: Blended; some sessions will meet online & some at NYBG)
- Site Visit: NYU Langone Medical Center, Therapeutic Horticulture Services (Location: Offsite)
- Site Visit: The G.R.O.W. Garden at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center (Location: Offsite)
ORIENTATION
An orientation for all Summer Intensive students will be held on the first day of the program, Monday July 8 at 9 am. This orientation will include a presentation in Ross Hall followed by expert-led tours of the LuEsther T. Mertz Library and The William & Lynda Steere Herbarium, and opportunities to connect with program coordinators.
TUITION AND REFUNDS
$2,376 (Member) / $2,640 (Non-Member)
A $1,075 non-refundable deposit is due at registration.
An optional payment schedule is available if requested. No refunds after June 24.
