Event: KFAC Summer Institute - Plants and Animals Have a Place in the Classroom
Kansas Foundation for Ag in the Classroom website

The Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom prepares K-12 teachers to integrate agriculture into their classrooms. The courses expose teachers to various agricultural opportunities and provides them with a variety of resources to use when preparing and presenting lesson plans to their students. This fits in well with the state's emphasis on career pathways of which agriculture, food, and natural resources is one. The institute introduces teachers to the variety of agriculture careers available to their students, and features project-based, plant-focused learning labs that meet elementary standards for math, science and language arts.

Summer Institute registration includes lunches and snacks, educator's guides, Kansas Kids Connections magazines, ready-to-use lesson plans, grow light stand, set of crop seeds and the Junior Master Gardener educator's guide.

Continuing education hours (20.75) are included in the institute registration fee. Please indicate when you register if you would like to receive continuing education hours.
