Course: Core Skills and Strategies

This course presents communication theories and interpersonal skills relevant to conflict resolution, including the understanding of, analysis of, and management of conflict.  Completion ofthe course meets the Kansas Office of Dispute Resolution's training requirements for state approval in core mediation [K.S.A. 5-501 and Rule902(e)]. Kansas State University will award 45 continuing education hours for successful completion of course requirements to those participants who paid the optional fee. 

Continuing education hours are not awarded for academic credit. Continuing education requirements vary from state to state and by profession. It is the responsibility of individuals earning K-State continuing education hours to verify with their licensing or accrediting body that the hours will be accepted. Kansas State University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
