Peggi is a master's prepared Advanced Practice Nurse and licensed as a Full Practice Authority Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois. She is also certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Illinois by IAODAPCA and a Master Addiction Counselor by NAADAC. 

Peggi has been a registered nurse for 40 years and is retired from a large group practice after 30 years of pioneering the role of the nurse practitioner in Addiction Medicine and Addiction Psychiatry. She has experience in inpatient, partial hospital, dual diagnosis, and outpatient therapy as well as Addiction Psychiatry. 

Peggi spent 12 years treating elite collegiate athletes of multiple sports as a member of the Mental Health Team for the Illinois Fighting Illini. Peggi has advocated for and educated health professionals about addiction medicine both locally and nationally. She has been an invited lecturer at NPACE conferences and the National Rural Institute on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.

Peggi provides services as an independent contractor through Kleppin and Associates therapy practice in Champaign, Illinois. Peggi is also a doctoral graduate student in nursing practice at Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas.
