Emotional Intelligence

There was a time when leaders believed they could make unemotional decisions. Brain research over the last 20 years proves that every decision leaders make has an emotional element to it. How do leaders effectively identify and manage not only their own emotions, but the emotions of the members of their team? This interactive session will delve into the current best practices around emotional intelligence including an individual self-assessment of each participants current level of understanding of their own emotional best practices. Participants will then return to their workplaces with tools they can immediately implement to have positive impact on how they manage theirs and others emotions, especially in difficult situations.

Managing Change

There is a saying that change is constant yet growth is not. As humans are hard-wired for consistency and stability, managing change is one of the most difficult challenges leaders face today. In this interactive session, participants will learn how to manage both the substantive and the emotional elements of change as well as how to best effectively communicate in change situations. Participants will also learn methods and tools to effectively manage resistance to change, an occurrence that is a given in any change situation, regardless of the level or complexity of the change effort.
