Course detail: Generations: Working Better Together

Course Description: 

Gen Zers are starting their careers and Millennials are taking on leadership positions within our organizations. In a refreshing way, we will explore the numerous positive characteristics they bring to our organizations and how to utilize their unique skillsets. We will study how different generations were raised and how it has molded them into the employees they are today. Building on that information, we will examine researched based studies to explore how to recruit, retain, motivate, and grow them into the leaders that we need right now and in the future. 

Core Competencies: 
  • Participants will appraise and adopt the duties and behaviors incumbent upon a law enforcement leader who acts in ways that support the needs of their organization, community and profession.
Instructional Methods: 
  • Interactive Lecture - Applied Learning Exercises 
Who Should Attend: 
  • Law Enforcement Officers of all ages - all ranks. This is focused towards explaining the younger generation to the older generations but everyone gets a lot out of it. It explains the differences and why we all are the way we are. But tends to be directed more toward older millennials, Gen X and Boomers.
