Course detail: Open-Source Intelligence for Law Enforcement
Course Overview: This hands-on course will focus onproviding Law Enforcement Officers the free resources and practical expertiseto utilize Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) in policing. Participants willlearn how to collect, utilize, and document publicly available media and intelto generate leads and identify suspects in their investigations. Participantsshould bring a laptop with access to the internet and verify that theiragency's internet restrictions allow access to social media sites.
Course Description: Open-Source Intelligence is oneof our greatest free resources available to help identify offenders, solvecrimes, and provide important context to cases. This course of instruction isdesigned to provide both the tools and the working knowledge to collect anddocument intelligence from open sources. This course will include severalpractical exercises throughout the afternoon.
