Course detail: Below 100

Course Description

Below 100 is a nationally recognized officer safety initiative focused on reducing preventable line-of-duty deaths and serious injuries. This course emphasizes the importance of personal and collective responsibility for decisions made during routine police operations.

Rather than focusing on statistics, the training highlights common-sense actions that are within an officer's control. Participants will examine the core tenets of Below 100, including wearing seatbelts and body armor, managing speed, maintaining situational awareness, and recognizing how complacency contributes to preventable tragedies.

The course also explores the role of leadership in fostering a culture of safety. Supervisors and officers alike will learn how to reinforce safe behaviors, address risk-taking, and ensure that sound decision-making becomes standard practice across the organization.
