Course detail: Incident Safety Officer - Seminar Part 2 Face-to-Face
This two-day IFSAC and Pro Board certification course is Part 2 of a blended learning program addressing NFPA 1550, Chapter 5, Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety, Health, and Wellness Programs. Designed for fire officers, company officers, and senior firefighters, the seminar builds on the foundational knowledge gained in Part 1 and emphasizes applied skills for the Incident Safety Officer role at emergency scenes. Course content focuses on ISO integration within the Incident Command System, hazard recognition and risk evaluation, accident prevention, and safety management across all-hazards response types. Note: All students must first complete the online portion (Part 1) before attending.

Course prerequisite: Completion of Incident Safety Officer Online Part 1 is required. NFPA 1021/1020 Fire Officer 1 National Certification (IFSAC and/or Proboard) is a recommended prerequisite. National Certification for Incident Safety Officer will not be awarded until a candidate is a Nationally Certified Fire Officer 1.
