Biography: My very first speech was in 7th grade on the Capitol Building, where I discovered just how powerful my voice could be. That spark led to a public speaking journey that has taken me from the classroom to national stages. In college, I competed in professional public speaking (Forensics), earning the title of Top Novice in the State of Illinois for prose and becoming a two-time national finalist with a 4th place finish in Prose Interpretation and a 5th place finish in Duo Dramatic Interpretation. Along the way, I collected numerous titles as a semi-finalist, quarter-finalist, and octa-finalist at the national level. I also served as a speaking tutor for three years, helping others refine their delivery, structure their ideas, and own their stage presence.Beyond competition, I am a spoken word artist whose work often focuses on social justice and mental health. I have been a guest speaker at many events, delivering motivational talks that inspire audiences to act, dream, and grow. I have addressed professional conferences, city council meetings, and many other spaces where a voice could spark change.Public speaking is not an overnight process where you instantly perfect it. It is a journey of learning, examining, and ultimately becoming the kind of speaker you want to be. I have shared this journey with people from all walks of life, including college students, career changers, and seasoned professionals, each discovering how to shape their voice into something that truly fits them.I currently work in the Workforce Development Department at Joliet Junior College, where I connect with and support a wide range of people in their personal and professional growth.Outside of work, my life is not always filled with speeches. You are more likely to find me running or working out, strumming my ukulele, reading, or being actively involved in my community.I look forward to helping you discover, shape, and amplify your own voice because the world needs to hear what you have to say.
