Course detail: Kansas Flood and Water Rescue

The Kansas Flood and Water Rescue course is for rescuers who may be involved in a flood or surface water rescue. This two-day (16) course will cover individual and team requirements to perform safe water rescues. Personal water skills will be covered along with boat operations. The students shall operate individually and as a team in multiple rescue scenarios to hone their skills. This class will meet or exceed NFPA 1006, Surface Water Rescue.

Prerequisites:
Students are required to be current First Aid/CPR certified or higher.

Additional Info:
This course requires a strong background in rope rescue for successful completion. In addition, students must be free of physical and medical conditions that would limit the ability to perform required tasks.
