Course detail: Fire Fighter 2 Training

This course is designed to meet the NFPA 1001 standard for Fire Fighter 2. Course contents include fire ground operations: implementing IMS, construction materials and building collapse, rescue and extrication tools, vehicle extrication and special rescue, hose tools and appliances, ignitable liquid and flammable gas control, foam fire streams, hydrant flow and operability, fire detection, alarm and suppression systems, fire cause and origin, radio communications and incident reports, and pre-incident survey.

The course uses IFSTA Essentials of Firefighting and Fire Department Operations, Seventh Edition, as text and is furnished by the student.
